Masterminds – The Conrail Boyz (3 of 3)

In the late 1990s trains pulling into New York discovered millions of dollars worth of freight missing, thanks to Edward Mongon and his criminal posse. They were a modern day Jesse James gang, except that instead of six shooters and horses they used two-way radios and night vision goggles. And they bested Jesse James by being the most successful gang of train robbers in American history.

    conrail boys, admirable group. non-violent crime, high profit.

    the flaw was its expansion, sadly. once the expansion incorporated potential double-crossers, it was exposed to very high risk and made itself highly vulnerable.
