do i need PROGRAMMING Software to progran a two way radio or can i just connect it to my computer and program it???????????????????????

Some need programming, some do not. I have several 2-ways as an amateur radio operator and none of my radios require any programming. A friend, also an amateur radio operator, has several as well, and at least one of his DOES require programming from an external source.
