My Motorola XTS1500 digital P-25 portable radio alerting for Saturday 11am pager testing. Radio is set up to continiously alert beep untill the channel is changed, radio is shut off, or a button is pressed. Radio doesn’t alert all the time though. Many members also have the same issue Thinking it may be related to the simulcast radio repeater system the county has

Motorola 1947 portable radio found at the thirft store for 4.98. It payed when I purchased it, and I replaced the line cord. . This radio has a galvenized metal case and a bakelite front lid that houses the loopstick antenna. The radio shuts off when the lid is closed. It has a weatherproof speaker.

1950s Motorola “Ranger 1000″ Transistor Portable Radio

This is the transistorized version of the famous super-sensitive “Ranger” radios.

It has a metal handwired chassis. Can’t remember how many transistors it has in it, but I think it’s around either eight or nine.

Was dead as a doorknob when I first got it. Once I replaced all the electrolytics, it sprung into life–and then some.

Almost as good as a GE Superadio.

The quality of this radio is superb.
