iCanada says,”I got out my igloo and jumped into a cold lake, I did it once and swore I would never do it again.” Why go back to a place that causes us pain? I can say this because I jumped in that lake, you?

  3. Why can’t turn on …
Why can’t turn on the radio and here songs like this about real issues that impact us all, even if its going on half way across the globe?

    More so Dick Cheney….

But remember that Norway has supported the US in many of their “conflicts,” and you have about as much control over your countries actions as i do over the U.S. actions. Many people in America strongly disagree with the war in Iraq, Bush’s approval rating when he left office was around 21%, so don’t think that everyone in America loved him.
I would argue that war is needed with leaders like Hitler, Stalin, Mao, or Kim Jong-il.

  6. he really just …
he really just wanted to study psychology, but, with out a way of paying for coledge he decided t ojoin the military where, just like MabusC22 said, he believed he’d be fighting for justice and honor… well… you know the rest.

  7. listen to the lyrics
    listen to the lyrics

  8. He didn’t want to …
He didn’t want to torture Iraqi POWs or commit war crimes or crimes against humanity. He thought by joining he’d be fighting for justice and honor… but when he got there realized it wasn’t what he expected, and he felt like a demon.

  9. it makes perfect …
it makes perfect sense. al qaeda attacks us so we go to war with iraq for non-existent wmd’s? people join the military for many reasons, but being told to go to war and kill without clear cause is going to raise questions…which it did, from many.

  10. why did the guy who …
why did the guy who the songs about join the military if he didn’t want to fight? That doesn’t make sense.

Yes the U.S. gets involved in more wars than they should, and I’m in no way going to try and justify some of the US wars. But to put it simply sometimes war is the only option. There are some bad people in this world and if they ever happen to lead a country, even worse things could happen.

  13. Fuck the troops, …
the troops, the U.S, American scum

  14. what country do you …
what country do you live in bud?

  15. You assume im …
You assume im talking about the history of my country.. this has nothing to do with the history of My country… livingforthenextrush… without war, the world would be less peacefull, for example, WW2, imagine the world if the allies didnt step up. war is necessary. what happens when evil rises, do we just let it take over..? No the courageous ones step up, and fight for peace

    How dare you speak …
How dare you speak of history as though you remember. I can only assume you are American, which therefore means you have only a fraction of the history the rest of the world has.

Of course your opinions reflect your pathetic history of oppressing native populations, civil war and meddling in other countries’ business. Vietnam would be the perfect example of Americans being unable to learn from their mistakes.

We most certainly do not have to accept war, that is the wrong attitude.

  17. the best way to …
the best way to suppress evil is to be evil…

  18. Finally someone …
Finally someone understands what I think.

  19. you do have to …
you do have to accept it. and accept the fact that war is the best way suppress the evil. Its been 100,000 thousand years, and not once has there been no evil in man. its about time to accept it. we can do our best to attain peace.. and thats what we should live for

You sir need to get your facts straight. Iraq has loads of oil! In fact Iraq has the 4th largest oil reserves, almost 10% of the oil reserves on the planet! Source: CIA – The world Factbook.

War is sometimes a necessary evil. But not for convoluted reasons. Not for imaginary WMDs.

  21. You are so wrong! …
You are so wrong! We must maintain hope and believe beyond a doubt that one day there shall be no war. If we don’t then what the is the point of living only to live accepting evil!

    On both sides???
    What a piece of shit.

  23. LiesMustStop on May 16th, 2010 at 5:35 am

    Shit.

    Shit.

  24. War has been around …
War has been around as long as peace, hate has been around as long as love.
There is no avoiding hate or war. Without war, there would be no peace, without knowing hate there is no knowing love

    War is a necessary evil.
there is no way around it, you can protest all you want, as long as evil exists there will be war…
wars are fought to attain as best peace as possible.
and no way to completely unite the world in peace.
But at least support those who fight for it

  25. this video has more …
this video has more meaning than just a man who went awol. “Oil is spilling down in the street,”, they are trying to make a reference to the problems of the world. using him as an example.

You may not suport the war, but at least show respect and suport the men who fight it.
