Part 1 of 2. A documentary recorded from BBC2’s Arena Radio Night in the Mid 1990’s. Weekend Rush and Kool Fm were big targets of the DTI mainly because of the music they were playing was taking listeners away from the legal stations. that’ll be their studio not their broadcasting location maybe? general rule is never broadcast from the studio, otherwise if you get nicked, not only will u lose your transmitters, they’ll take ur studio equip too.

How can a fuckn government monopolise on electromagnetic waves? that makes no sense at all! i can’t wait for the time to come when analog has been completely phased out both commercially and in the emergency services. when that happens the gov’t will hopefully realise that policing pirates on analog is a waste of money and leave them alone lol.

“unfortunately it’s illegal”.. yeah, only because the gov’t made it so and are over-regulating it all. plus of course people are going to pirate. i’ve looked on Ofcom and Radio Society of Great Britain, and the steps you need to take to become a legal broadcaster are ridiculously over-regulated.
