RADIO STATIONS

When you travel to a new city, one of the first things you do is flip on the radio either in the rental car or in the hotel room. One of your first experiences of the culture in the new city is listening to the radio stations. You might find the stations to be very similiar to the ones back home or you might find them very different. Now with my new video called “Radio Stations” you can experience what it would be like to run the dial through the radio stations in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Please leave comments and let me know how they compare to the stations in your home town. The video was recorded on November 10, 2007. It’s like a snapshot in time.

interesting video. tuning the fm dial is interesting, but i think that tuning through the stations of the am dial would be interesting because am stations are more local than the fm stations. fm stations are all part a major syndicate, like clear channel.

    Great idea!
At first, I thought, well, that is not very different to your area (West-Germany), but when I heard Spanish, I thought that’s the difference. I am very much used to listen to English speaking radiostations. All radio stations have in common (here and in your area) that they mainly play english/us music. The US culture has spread wide and I must say that this is the way I live except that we have a closer look on the environment and don’t make wars (anymore) ;-) .
