Hi fsuarez,
Well …
Hi fsuarez,
Well, yes and no. You can get the XMP3, and listen to the same music as Sirius, and with the best of Sirius package you could also listen to most sports, news, and talk from Sirius on your XM receiver.
However, you must subscribe to XM, not Sirius. The new merged SiriusXM has not yet combined their two customer care centers and databases. That means they still are separate in that regard.

Dear Vip0rxz
,
Sounds like youre having an unusually tough time with your XMp3 (generally, our customers love their XMp3s, so its extra surprising).
If you bought it from Crutchfield, please get in touch with our customer service directly. Well try to work with you and Pioneer to iron this out.
If you didnt buy from us, talk to the retailer you worked with maybe theyre also willing to support you to solve the problem.
Good luck.

THIS THING IS A …
THIS THING IS A PIECE OF SHIT!!!!!!
DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. You WILL have problems with it! I have gone through 3 of them in 6 months! You go through hoops to send this piece of back, and they ‘download’ some crap to it and send it to someone else (or vice versa) as a ‘referbished’ radio. Then it may work for a week or two and it will do the same thing. Do this for a year until the warrenty expires/ you give up. And you’re out 300 dollars + the service charge. Pioneer SUCKS.
did not know that …
did not know that needs a subscription…thought you just buy the device and you all set
I replaced my old …
I replaced my old Inno with the XMP3 and I am very impressed. This blows Sirius’ Stiletto2 out of the water.
Anthony,

Anthony,
According to XM’s website, you can pay with a credit card, they can electronically take money from your checking account, or you can receive invoices and pay them with a check or money order.
If you choose invoice billing, you’ll pay an extra $2 per invoice.
You can also use pre-paid service cards, available at Crutchfield.
No contracts, that’s my favorite part. You are not committed to subscribe for any length of time like the cell phones.

Hi goldenflake,
…
Hi goldenflake,
The internal antenna is fine for in-car use if you are in a major city with a strong terrestrial repeater network, such as D.C. NYC, LA, etc.
If you aren’t near any repeaters, and the antenna has to be able to “see” the satellites, it won’t be as good in the car.
An XMp3 Car Kit is recommended, it includes a cradle, antenna, power connection, audio connection, and remote control.
Hope that helps,
CrutchfieldTV
You don’t tell us …
You don’t tell us if the built in antenna is any good. Is it necessary to use an external antenna when you are in the car?
Is it possible to use the internal antenna in the car without having to set up the exteral antenna?
