  2. Ah Methodism! Such …
Ah Methodism! Such fervour; such piety; such joy in Christian belief — all seen here in the singing of this wonderful hymn. The moribund Church of England is so wanting, by comparison. It’s too bad the followers of Wesley left the Established church.

  3. Good solid singing …
Good solid singing of a good solid Wesley hymn.

These grand Victorian compositions are the stuff of reforming, progressive, social Christianity with a purpose. What great men the Wesleys were.

Hymns like this need gusto from the congregation, led by a good strong organ behind them. Thank God we have both (and trumpets to boot) in this fabulous video.

  4. I challenge all the …
I challenge all the Christians in the entire planet -layman and church leaders alike- to pray God that the volcanic eruption I stated below would not happen:

“Before this year will be over, 2 volcanic eruptions will shake the United States of America. The name of these volcanoes had something to do with faith.”

If despite of your prayer these faithful volcanoes had erupted, then, know and understand that God is with me, therefore you are under obligation to listen to me

  5. LEAVE YOUR CHURCH! …
LEAVE YOUR CHURCH! (faith in Christ alone is all that matters)
DO NOT BUY, DO NOT SELL (just help for free; give for free).
DESTROY ALL THE WORKS OF THE BEAST (be perfectly holy)

I’m not sure that ‘YouTube’ is the place for a theological debate Bibliosca ! Of course you are as entitled to your view as I am to mine but not one of the ‘wonders’ you describe in your post aren’t completely explicable by reference to natural science. Your ‘designer creator God’ argument is simply redundant and that which can be asserted without proof can be dismissed without apology. (It’s still a great hymn tho !)

    it is unfortunate …
it is unfortunate that so many churches have never sung this hymn. I was introduced to it by a priest friend of mine when he was installed as canon missioner for the diocese of West Missouri. When the “chains came off”, it was electrifying! You can’t but be moved by this one!

You don’t have to be a believer (and I’m not…) to appreciate the magnificence of this wonderful hymn. Clearly the devil didn’t get all the best tunes !

The Illuminati are bluebloods such as Rothschilds, Windsors, Warburgs, Al Gore & Pike etc who rule secret societies including Freemasonry. They’ll probably force-vaccinate much of the world with toxic crap in Fall, start WW3, implement Codex Alimentarius & internet 2 then stage an alien invasion to get a fascist world government with you chipped. 25. “And Can It Be That …
“And Can It Be That I Should Gain” by the Wesley Chapel congregation is great, but we think the Gaiters’ rendition is even better. The Gaithers’ group just has that something extra and they are pretty much top notch on any song they sing.
