    Wow, had the next day not happened this product might have gotten a little more buzz over the next week. Unfortunately we were a little distracted.

    This product was a precursor and learning vehicle for the Philips Streamium line, which saw commercial success.

    Regarding Kerbango, both Sonicbox (original name of iM Networks) and Kerbango started at the same time. Sonicbox announced their iM Tuner for the PC in October, 1999. This Philips product is actually second generation iM Networks solution free of the PC and was the first Internet radio product to actually ship. Kerbango never hit retail shelves.

    It was sure ahead of its time (though the never released Kerbango annoucement predates this by one year at least). Back then, few people had broadband at home. Still, I guess Philips used a lot of the experience gained in its current line of streamium devices.
