Why are Canadians sometimes made fun of by Americans on TV and radio or print?

i am from Asia so i really don’t get it when someone on Tv or in movies make fun of Canadians…what’s up with that? What’s in Canada that’s supposedly funny?

As Americans, we like to make fun of other countries. We just don’t like to be made fun of. It’s only a joke though.

People like to joke around about the supposed "hatred" between the US and Canada. It’s just for fun, but there are a$$holes who take it serisouly.

  4. Canadians are typically gullible, friendly folk, who are easily taken advantage of. The typical joke is using EAH after every sentence. That gets a lot of play.

Canadians have become a liberal socialist nation, due to high immigration from socialist countries, which should produce less jokes.

The USA is BECOMING a socialist nation, and is taking a lot of cues from Canadian culture.

  5. Canadians are perceived by the masses (ie dummies) in the US as being lame and weak minded. The US is perceived by Americans as agressive and leading the world, which we have done for decades. Canada is perceived kind of like the polite, intelligent, bookworm kind of brother. I don’t like Canada bashing when I hear it and any comedian that uses it is lacking in creativity.
