Looking for a two way radio?

I’m a security guard, and an avid volunteer. I often find myself communicating over a two way radio. I was looking to pick up my own, so I could program every frequency I use in one radio. I need a wide range, any suggestions?

Not sure what frequency band you had in mind.

Do people know they can open a new tab, type station’s website and most have online radio you can listen to while working in the original tab.

Are Portable CB Radios any Good?

Hi,

I want to get a CB Radio but I don’t want to bother with installing or mounting it, my questions are handheld CB radios any good? Can I mount an antenna to my car and then use it on the portable or is this for mounted ones only? And can I plug the handhelds into my cigarette lighter as opposed to batteries. Also can you please route me towards a good model or some general information? Thanks! I really appreciate it!

A quality handheld one is as good as the mounted one since it has the same output power. I have one that has a seperate magnetic base antenna that works great and uses a cigarette lighter adapter for power. Just Google "Handheld CB for sale" and look through all the sites. You’ll find what you’re looking for.

These clock radios have two fairly large speakers on the sides. Button on top is snooze/backlight. External jack hooks up to devices such as mp3 players. AM/FM. Most importantly these units play sounds… 4 types of preprogrammed songs (jazz, guitar, spa and something else) as well as preprogrammed nature sounds (surf, rain, babbling brook and white noise). Perhaps you’ve not been to this hotel but the unit still sounds familiar to you.

Contact the hotel.

Sometimes they use stuff that is not available to the general public because the manufacturers sell them a different version.
