I like internet radio because I sometimes hear songs I’ve not heard before, but most of the time I prefer my own playlist so I can control the quality of songs my kids hear. What’s your preference?
Both, I guess it depends on what mood I am in. somedays I want to hear selective songs, other days I let the radio select what I hear.
Hi, i made a internet radio yesterday.
It’s mostly 24/7 but if no one will listen why have it up.
I posted my internet radio on, stickam, myspace, and aim.
Should i try msn as well?
It will take a lot of promotion. After all, there are literally thousands of
both internet-only and terrestrial stations streaming online.
You will need plenty of time and patience for folks to find you.
For example, I don’t know what your station is myself. So lots of promotion..word of mouth still works the best. You can also check out forums on Internet radio to see what others are doing.
It is a slow process to build any radio station. I’ve done both terrestrial and Internet. Some stations take literally years to build.
So don’t give up. Keep it on the air, promote as much as you can, and make sure you have content worth listening to. If your station is unique, they will eventually find you.
big push to get people using a DAB radio but about 10 month ago i purchase a terratec internet radio from toyrus for only 30 pounds – easy to use great quality

I’m looking for a free internet radio station to listen to the Cardinals play, but the flag station in St. Louis wants you to pay for the broadcast on the internet. I don’t understand why when it’s easy to get other major leagues games on the internet radio for free.
I believe the station is called 96.9 WFAG
Ok so, i have tried shoutcast but they kind of lost me at the server part. I didn’t understand how to use it and i am a really computer savvy person. So what is the easiest way to create a free internet radio station that the public can listen to?
I am thinking of a station that plays music. Or a comedy sation.
To make it available all the time? That means you have to have a server running all the time.
IMHO the easiest way is to take some old computer from the closet that wont rn the latest greatest windows games anymore, load free linux on it, load free radio streaming software on it, and let it share your internet connection
