The radios I have, have a telescopic aerial, and my favorite station is far away. I have the radio on to of my highest shelf, turned for maximum reception, but it is still fuzzy. I have no plugs for external aerials.

At radioandrecords, type in "Seattle" under market name. You will get a list of the most popular stations, and just as important for looking for a job, which company owns them.

You may find that individual stations may have a promotions director, or there may be one position for all of one company’s stations in that city.

Do some research on the following companies: CBS Radio, Entercom, Clear Channel. You may decide to work for one of them, or for another company, but if you don’t understand what those companies are, then you will not get started in the business.
